ATMOSPHERE
ANNOUNCES "WHEN GOD GIVES YOU UGLY" NORTH
AMERICAN TOUR
P.O.S Direct Support On
Select Dates
Atmosphere plans to bring their brand of
literate, forward-thinking hip-hop to the
masses this spring with the announcement of
their upcoming "When God Gives You Ugly"
tour (dates below). Slug and Ant will be
rocking venues throughout the continent in
celebration of the reissue of their
critically acclaimed record God Loves Ugly
and the recent release of their sixth studio
album, When Life Gives You Lemons, You
Paint That Shit Gold. The Atmosphere
live show testifies to what devotees already
know: Slug and Ant are the real deal. They
bring the same passionate lyricism and hard
hitting beats that critics have been singing
the praises of for years. The 34-date tour
kicks off in Missoula, Montana on April 9th.
P.O.S will be direct support through
Seattle on 4/24.
P.O.S's new album Never Better
debuted at #1 on Billboard’s New Artists
Chart a few week backs. The album packaging
for Never Better has already been
labeled packaging of the year by magazine's
like Giant and Vapors and now Rhymesayers
has launched a user friendly site where you
can create your own panels and designs for
your Never Better album. Plus, the
album is streaming in its entirety and if
you create your own panel, you get rewarded
with a free download of the first P.O.S
single "Drumroll." Check it out here:

PRESS ON ATMOSPHERE:
"One can feel Atmosphere loosening modern
hip-hop from its moorings and yanking it
into some weirder and far more interesting
place." - ROLLING STONE
"Slug is, without a doubt, the most
legitimately poetic emcee ever saddled with
the credibility killing "back pack hip-hip"
label" - XLR8R
"With passionate inflection and pristine
delivery, Slug toggles neatly among the
poetic, preachy, and provocative, sometimes
hitting all at once."
- ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
"As a front-man, the charismatic Slug has
matured into one of hip-hop's best
performers." - LOS ANGELES TIMES
PRESS ON P.O.S:
"Few artists succeed where P.O.S. does: He's
proof that hip-hop and rock make for
pleasant bedfellows." - URB
"P.O.S. has saved hip hop. Never Better is
amazing and likely to be the best hip-hop
album of 2009." - Alarm
“[Never Better]... is subtly infused with a
smart-assed insight and a thing for folding
pop culture touchstones into unrecognizable
shapes.” - Pitchfork
