CHRIS ISAAK'S "MR. LUCKY"
CD OUT FEBRUARY 24th ON REPRISE RECORDS
"The Chris Isaak Hour"
New TV Show to Debut on BIO Channel February
26th
New York, NY- Getting lucky has
rarely sounded so good on Grammy winning
singer-songwriter Chris Isaak's highly
anticipated new CD "Mr. Lucky," out in
stores on February 24th on Reprise Records.
Mr .
Lucky features 14 tracks filled with the
glorious, the ugly and the bad of romantic
love. But in this case, bad never sounded
so good. From the killer opener, the
wonderfully tortured "Cheaters Town"
to the concluding and uplifting "Big Wide
Wonderful World," Isaak takes his fans on a
roller coaster ride on one of his favorite
subjects, LOVE.
Isaak who has an abiding respect for
popular music's past with personal heroes
like Roy Orbison and Buck Owens, has a clear
and vital passion for the here and now -
especially on Mr. Lucky. Produced by Eric
Rosse, John Shanks and Mark Needham with
guest appearances by Trisha Yearwood and
Michelle Branch, Mr. Lucky reaffirms Isaak's
passion for the music he writes and the
commitment to the songs he sings. The CD's
first single, "We Let Her Down" has already
taken off on the radio. "I've been with
most of my band (Silvertone) for 25 years
now. We never get tired of playing
together," commented Isaak. "The truth is
anyone who gets to do what I do for a
living... well, I really am one of the
luckier guys on earth ."
With upcoming appearances on the Jay
Leno show on Feb. 20th and The Today Show on
Feb. 26th, Isaak will also be hosting his
own TV show "The Chris
Isaak Hour" debuting on Feb. 26th
with special guest Trisha Yearwood on the
BIO Channel. Upcoming guests include,
Stevie Nicks, Michael Buble (accent) and the
Smashing Pumpkins. "On my show, artists get
to talk. On most TV shows, artists are asked
one question at the end of the show. I get
to share the thrill of performing with great
artists like Glen Campbell one week and
Michael Buble (accent) the next...I'm having
a blast," commented Isaak.
